NEW TYA FACILITIES FOR BRISTOL TEENS

NEW TYA FACILITIES FOR BRISTOL TEENS

01 December 2012

Today was the unveiling of the new Ward 25 at Bristol Royal Children's Hospital, A collaboration between Teenage Cancer Trust and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal. This new unit provides facilities for teenagers and young adults who are suffering with cancer and other disabilities.

A total of 11 beds with 2 social spaces and the excellent 'winter garden' room will ensure that, whilst no-one really wants to be in hospital, the journey is as good as it possibly can be.

  • At the heart of every good hospital

  • Better spaces to get better in

  • We needed to refurbish the sitting room used by teenagers on our Paediatric Oncology Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Grosvenor Interiors did the designs for us in consultation with a group of our teenage patients. They have kept in touch throughout the protracted bureaucratic processes required by large organisations with patience & good humour. They are easy to get hold of and respond promptly to queries. Most of all, we are delighted with the result which has made the best use of the space and is bright and attractive. I would certainly recommend their services
