We were proud to complete a very special project at Kingston Hospital.

Transforming a children’s isolation room into a calm, uplifting space inspired by gentle underwater themes.

The Momentum Children’s Charity received funding from a grateful family who wanted to give back after their own experience on the ward. Their fundraising was supported by Air Charter Service and PALS (Polly & Lila), whose generosity made this refurbishment possible.

Underwater theme design throughout

The room itself needed significant attention, and Kingston Hospital’s Estates Team were exceptional partners throughout! Redecorating, preparing the space, and helping us bring the new design to life. The brief was clear: keep the artwork light, uncluttered and soothing. Using a soft underwater concept with isolated design elements, a space  was created that feels fresh, calm and supportive for children who need quiet, restorative environments.

Projects like this rely on thoughtful collaboration, careful project management and strong relationships between hospital teams, charities and families. It has been a privilege to help give this room a renewed purpose and to support the paediatric ward in continuing to provide compassionate, child centred care.
