Jurassic Coast Artwork Enhances Children’s Waiting Area at Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre
Children’s waiting area healthcare artwork
At Grosvenor Interiors, we’re delighted to share our latest project in healthcare design for children’s waiting areas at Weymouth UTC. As our first artist led project with the team, we created a Jurassic Coast inspired print that brings colour, calm and a sense of place to young patients and their families.
This installation shows how thoughtful healthcare design for children’s waiting areas can transform the patient experience and create a more welcoming environment.

The Jurassic Coast by Anna Andrews printed on to 3mm dibond
The UTC team had a clear vision: to create a calm, welcoming environment for young people, brought to life through artwork that reflects the local landscape. They had already discovered the work of Dorset artist Anna Andrews, whose style felt like the perfect fit.
Anna kindly donated one of her pieces for the project, sharing:
“I am really happy to have been able to donate this artwork for this cause and hope it brings a smile to the faces of all who visit the unit.”
Anna Andrews, Artist
The artwork was produced as a 2000mm x 1000mm panel, printed on 3mm dibond with a high quality digital print applied to the face and installed using 8 wall barrels for a clean, contemporary finish.
The result is a bright, uplifting focal point for the space, and the feedback has been wonderful.
“We are so pleased with the artwork; it looks wonderful in our children’s waiting area and goes perfectly with the new seating and furniture, thank you to Anna for donating her beautiful piece of art. Our aim was to create a waiting area for children that included play equipment and artwork that promoted a feeling of comfort and safety.
Many thanks for your help, as a company you have been fantastic to work with.”
Kathryn Backwell, Deputy Lead Weymouth UTC
This project has been a true collaboration between the UTC team, artist Anna Andrews, the League of Friends, and Dorset Healthcare Charity, whose funding made it possible to create a dedicated, child friendly space that feels thoughtful, local, and uplifting.

At Grosvenor Interiors, we’re so pleased with how this installation has come together. It’s a brilliant example of how art, environment, and partnership can transform even small areas into meaningful spaces for young people and their families.
